Koji Uehara joined Tadahito Iguchi, So Taguchi, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Hideki Okajima, and Hideki Matsui as the only six Japanese players in NPB history to win both a Nippon Series and World Series.

The MLB and NPB could agree to details on a new posting agreement some time early next week. The two leagues are expected to make a worldwide announcement.

    Those are the only six Japanese NPB players who have won both a Nippon Series and a World Series. Dan Gladden, Jim Lefebvre, Johnny Logan, Gary Thomasson and Roy White have also won both.
