Nippon Ham Fighters

Sho Nakata is apparently having a hard time getting used to wearing a cup -- he never wore one before turning pro and only briefly wore one when he tried his hand at third during his first year with the Fighters.

Seibu Lions

Haruki Ihara plans to have Yuji Onizaki, Yuji Kaneko, and Kyohei Nagae compete for the everyday job at short next year.  Kaneko started seventy-two games at short this year; both Kaneko and Nagae started twenty-four games at short.

Softbank Hawks

Shingo Tatsumi threw 202 pitches in the bullpen on Sunday.  When he finished the session, the skin on his right thumb and ring finger was peeling.  It was his second session since the start of camp.

Yuki Yoshimura will get a look at third base -- he was at third during situational fielding practice on Saturday.

Chiba Lotte Marines

The Marines are planning to hold tryouts at fall camp.  Tryouts will likely run a period of three days, beginning on the 16th.  The Marines gave three players a look last year: G. G. Sato, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, and Takahiro Saeki.

Orix Buffaloes

Mamoru Kishida tossed fifty-six pitches in the bullpen on Saturday.  It was his second session in as many days.
