The Giants are planning to reassign Ichi-gun batting coach Akira Eto to Ni-gun batting coach.  Ni-gun batting coach Takayuki Shimizu will be called up to replace Eto at Ichi-gun.  Koji Goto will likely join the team as an Ikusei coach.  Current Ikusei coach Kosuke Yoshihara will probably be brought up to either Ichi-gun or Ni-gun.

A number of other changes are being considered.

Hiroshima Carp

Kan Otake met with the front office on Monday for the third time and once again held off on making a decision.

"There is not a very large gap between what I am looking for and what the organization offered.  We had a good discussion.  I want to think about this by looking at the big picture," Otake said.

A number of teams, including Yomiuri, Rakuten, and Softbank, could be interested in Otake if he hits the free agent market.

Hanshin Tigers

Yasutomo Kubo (33) is most likely thinking about exercising his FA option.  According to people involved, Kubo's agent has met with the Tigers a number of times, but has yet to agree to stay.  It is possible he will wait until the very last minute to make his decision.

The Tigers are said to be interested in potential free agents Hideaki Wakui (Seibu) and Shinya Tsuruoka (Nippon Ham).
