Seibu Lions

Yusei Kikuchi threw twenty-three pitches to a standing catcher in the Seibu 2 bullpen on Friday.  Kikuchi is working his way back from left shoulder inflammation.

Softbank Hawks

Kenji Otonari will be working out with Nao Higashihama, Shingo TatsumiMasayoshi Tsukada, and Ikusei infielder Shinya Arasaki in Okinawa in January next year.  Otonari has volunteered to catch Tatsumi during their training sessions and has already ordered a catcher's mitt.  Tatsumi told reporters that Otonari used to catch him when they played college ball.

Otonari tossed a bullpen session and batting practice on Thursday.  He threw a total 166 pitches.

Otonari threw 119 pitches to four hitters during batting practice on Thursday and then threw forty-seven pitches in the bullpen.

Rakuten Eagles

Masahiro Tanaka told reporters on Thursday that the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association contacted him about the posting system agreement on Wednesday.  The JPBPA also contacted player chairmen's at all twelve NPB teams.  The JPBPA will be holding a meeting on the 11th.
