[11/9/2013] Rumors: Nippon Ham Fighters, Rakuten Eagles, Orix Buffaloes

Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters are planning to make pro scout Junichi Kashiwabara and amateur scout Takaya Hayashi hitting coaches next season.  Former Rakuten coach Makoto Kosaka will likely join the team as a Ni-gun INF/base-running coach.

Nippon Ham is expected to release a list of their 2014 coaching staff by the 14th.

The Eagles are planning to look into Kan Otake.

There may be a good chance Casey McGehee does not be return to Japan next year.  ZakZak reports that his wife, Sarah, is concerned about language issues and would feel more comfortable taking care of Mackail in the US.

Orix Buffaloes

Dae-Ho Lee 's agent is supposed to get back to the Buffaloes about their last offer by the 15th.  Team director Ryuzo Setoyama told reporters he felt good about their chances, but also said that if the organization cannot finalize a deal before the end of the month, it most likely means Lee will not be returning.

The Buffaloes do not have any plans to sign Yoshitomo Tani at this time.  However, they will keep an eye on him during the twelve-team tryouts on Sunday.

The Buffaloes are planning to invite Nippon Ham senryokugai Ryo Sakakibara to fall practices for a tryout after the twelve-team tryouts on Sunday.  Yomiuri senryokugai Kenichi Marumo is also scheduled to work out with the team.  He will join the team at Kochi fall camp some time on or after the 11th.
