Kentaro Nishimura feels he may have gained too much weight and is looking to lose about five kilograms.  He currently weighs ninety-five kilograms.

Lotte senryokugai Takahito Kudo played in an intra-squad game on Tuesday.  He started in center and batted second.  He went 2-for-2 with two walks.  Kudo's tryout with the team runs through to the 21st.

Yakult Swallows

Katsuya Nomura advised Kazuhiro Hatakeyama to clean up his act and shave off his facial hair last year.  His son, Katsunori, now the Swallows' Ni-gun battery coach, gave Hatakeyama the same advice on Tuesday.

Kazuya Tsutsui started the game and gave up two runs on four hits and two walks.  He also struck out three.  Minoru Iwata relieved Tsutsui and tossed three shutout innings.  He gave up one hit, hit one batter, and struck out two.
