The Japan Professional Baseball Players Association (JPBPA) has reportedly accepted the new posting agreement, limited to a period of two years.

An agreement drafted by the NPB and MLB will be reviewed and approved during an NPB executive committee meeting on the 18th. Players could be posted as early as the 20th.

JPBPA secretary general Toru Matsubara on the decision: "This was a very difficult decision, but it had to be made because we were running out of time and because we felt further negotiations would not be productive."
