Shohei Otani is currently scheduled to start an intra-squad game on February 8.  He plans to ask coaches about his off-season throwing schedule during the final team meeting of year on the 24th.

Yusei Kikuchi - from seventeen to sixteen
Yusuke Kawasaki - from forty-four to thirty-four
Yuji Onizaki - from fifty-six to four
Masaru Misawa - from four to forty-four

Senior director Hisanobu Watanabe will be spending a lot of time overseas this off-season.  Beginning in December, he travel to Taiwan and Australia for the Winter Leagues.  He will then head to the US in February and visit spring training camp sites in Florida and Arizona.

The Hawks closed out fall camp in Miyazaki on Friday.

Seiichi Uchikawa personally visited a bat maker in Aichi after the regular season.  A new bat was modeled according to his needs.  He had been using the new model during fall camp.

The new bat remains the same weight (900 grams) and length (34 inches), but the grip is a bit thicker and the head a little more level.

Rakuten Eagles

Senichi Hoshino feels Australia is a good place to train during the off-season and is willing to let his players at his house if they make the trip over.  His house can apparently accommodate about twenty people.
