The Yomiuri Giants announced today that they came to terms with thirty-eight-year-old infielder Hirokazu Ibata. A press conference will be held at a later date. No other information is currently known.

Ibata may have agreed to a one-year deal worth an estimated forty-five million yen. The Giants could use him at second, as back-up to Hayato Sakamoto at short, or as a right-handed bat off the bench.
