Aichi police arrested Shinya Higashino, a thirty-three-year-old man from Osaka, on suspicion of trademark infringement. According to the arrest reports, Higashino sold two polo shirts through an auction site between July and August for 6,800 yen. A logo that closely resembled the Chunichi mark was stitched onto the shirts. Aichi police found 115 similar items at Higashino's residence -- shirts and caps from eight current NPB teams and ten former NPB teams. They also discovered about 1,900 payments to his bank account between August 2011 and September 2013 that totaled twenty-five million yen.
