Katsuki Yamazaki met with the Orix Buffaloes in Fukuoka today for the second time. After his meeting, he told reporters that he told the Buffaloes he wanted to play for them. He reportedly signed a three-year deal worth an estimated 150 million yen.
"I have a strong desire to take on the challenge of playing for a new team. ... If I felt I could not make, I would not be moving to a new team. I will win a starting job and play," said Yamazaki.

The Buffaloes held a press conference for Yamazaki at Hotto Motto Field Kobe today. He was assigned the number sixty-two.
