According to Tokyo Sports, the Lions may not be too concerned about losing Yasuyuki Kataoka because it frees up second base for Hideto Asamura and could net them a decent player from the Yomiuri Giants (compensation).

Rakuten Eagles

Masahiro Tanaka is scheduled to meet with the Eagles later this month, most likely after the team's championship trip to Hawaii (some time on or after the 18th).  Rakuten is planning to negotiate Tanaka's contract as they wait to see how the new posting agreement pans out.  This does not mean the team is no longer going to post their ace.  They just need to cover all their bases in case things with the new posting agreement do not work out.
