According to a Nikkan Sports report from this morning, the Yokohama Bay Stars are closing in on a multi-year deal with Aarom Baldiris (30). The Buffaloes left Baldiris off their list of reserved players, but were still trying to re-sign. The Bay Stars jumped in the moment he became available because they like him as someone that can follow Tony Blanco in to the line-up. And while they already have a number of options at third base, like Norihiro Nakamura (age concerns) and Yoshitomo Tsutsugo (slow growth), they wanted a little more stability and reliability at the position.
