Hanshin Tigers

  • The 2013 draft class got a tour of the team's facilities on Sunday.  They also took physical fitness tests. [Sponichi 12/8/2013]
  • 2nd round draft pick Shintaro Yokota's vertical jump was measured at eighty centimeters during Sunday's physical fitness test. [Sanspo 12/8/2013]
  • 4th round draft pick Ryutaro Umeno's back strength was measured at 224 kilograms. [Sanspo 12/8/2013]

Seibu Lions

  • JR Nishi Nihon presented 1st round draft pick Tomoya Mori with a Letter of Appreciation on Monday for a heroic deed.  According to reports, on the morning of November 16, a man in his seventies, using a cane, fell off a platform at the JR Shin-Imamiya Station in Naniwa-ku, Osaka.  Commuters contacted station personnel of the accident.  Mori and Osaka Toin teammate Tateo Kume immediately rushed to the rescue and helped the individual back up onto the platform before the arrival of station personnel.
