Yakult Swallows

The Swallows were originally planning to give Yashuiro Ogawa a thirty-six million yen raise, but decided to increase the total by eight million based on deals signed by Tomoyuki Sugano (Yomiuri, fifty-five million yen raise) and Takahiro Norimoto (Rakuten, forty-eight million yen raise).

Hanshin Tigers

Seung Hwan Oh's schedule: he met with team officials and coaches today; he will get a tour of the team facilities on Thursday; he will be introduced during a press conference held at an Osaka hotel on Friday.

Shintaro Fujinami told reporters on Tuesday that he could probably pitch on five days of rest next season if necessary.  He also said he would be willing to pitch on four days of rest if the team was in a bind.
