The Carp will likely make a decision on their compensation for losing Kan Otake before the 27th.  If they select a player as part of their compensation, they want to give them enough time to move without disrupting their off-season training schedules, which tend to be busier in January.

Yokohama Bay Stars

The Bay Stars will likely part ways with Nyjer Morgan.  Yokohama liked his hitting and his popularity, but felt his throwing shoulder was a potential liability.  They also felt he was expendable because Takayuki Kajitani will be moving to the outfield.
