Yakult Swallows

The Swallows announced the following staff additions/changes: Yuki Mizuno - farm system staff; Yuya Ota - batting practice pitcher; and Masanori Matsui - from Ikusei coach to chief of baseball operations.

Hiroshima Carp

For the first time in franchise history, the Carp will have three foreign players with salaries over 100 million yen: Bryan Bullington (1.36 million yen), Kam Mickolio (115 million yen), and Kila Ka'aihue (100 million yen).

According to Tokyo Sports, the Carp not only wanted Mickolio back next season for his performance on the field, but also for his wife, Tiffany -- she has apparently been helpful with getting new players and their families acclimated to Japan and has also been friendly with Japanese players and their families.
