Chiba Lotte Marines

Shota Omine is thinking about getting his registered name changed from 翔太 (Shota) to 大嶺翔太 (Omine Shota).

"I wanted to change something.  When I played baseball as a kid with my brother, my name always showed up as Omine Sho (大嶺翔) on the scoreboard.  I want to go back to the way I felt back then," Omine said.

Orix Buffaloes

Hikaru Ito is working with Walking Instructor Masamichi Kimitsuka to improve his balance and walking posture.

"Ever since I had problems with a herniated disc, I have not had a lot of confidence in my running abilities.  I thought it might be good to begin by going back to the basics and working on my walking.  I want to be more aggressive when running the bases," Ito said.
