The NPB held a subcommittee meeting today to discuss structural and governance issues that were uncovered by the third-party panel that investigated the problems behind the standard baseball.

"We discussed things vigorously.  We will slowly figure out which direction we should go," NPB commissioner Katsuhiko Kumazaki said.

He also said, "I have been saying, on a personal level, that [assistants] were needed since the inaugural press conference.  Nothing has been decided yet, but [more will become known] as discussions continue and reach fruition."

Yomiuri Giants owner Kojiro Shiraishi feels it might be good to have two assistants under the commissioner that have different focuses.  One would be in charge of the business side of things while the other would oversee the baseball operations.  Shiraishi also said he expected decisions to come within the next two to three months.
