Shohei Otani is slated to start an intra-squad game against Yuki Saito on February 8.  He will then most likely make the starting line-up as a hitter during a practice game against Hanshin on February 11.  From there, he could pitch in another practice game on February 15 against Yokohama.  That would follow the schedule of giving him starts as a pitcher on six days of rest and using him as a hitter on the third, fourth, fifth days after starts.

If Otani pitches well on the 8th and 15th, he could start an exhibition game on the 22nd against Lotte.
