The Eagles are planning to increase the number of seats at Kobo Stadium this year -- they will expand the seating area on the third base side that should fit about 3,000 additional permanent seats.  Preparations for construction have begun.  Actual construction is scheduled to begin in April.  The new section should be complete during the summer and ready for use in the fall.  The additional seats should push capacity over 26,000.  An official announcement will be made on the 17th.

Hideto Asamura's goal is to ultimately reach 100 kilograms.

Shinya Kayama would like to pitch out of the bullpen at least one more year before attempting to secure a spot in the starting rotation.  He feels his experience from last season should not go to waste.  If he does pitch out of the bullpen, he wants to pitch in at least sixty games.
