The Japan High School Baseball Federation (JHBF) announced on Thursday that they accepted Kamo High School's request to withdraw as a 21st Century candidate high school. The school was recommended as a 21st Century candidate high school by the Hiroshima High School Baseball League. They were not included in the final list of nine 21st Century candidate schools released on December 13, 2013.
According to the JHBF, Kamo High School filed a withdrawal form with the Hiroshima High School Baseball League on December 26 after school officials found out earlier in the month (on December 12) that six first-year students on the baseball team were picking on a regular student.
