Orix Buffaloes

A team official's attempt to arrange a meeting between the 2013 draft class and Ichiro Suzuki ended in failure on Tuesday.  The plan was for the draft class (everyone except 4th round draft pick Satoshi Sonobe) to meet Ichiro after doing five dashes up "Ichiro Hill" (200 meters at a max inclination of about twenty degrees), but he left before they finished.

Otani may have cracked the nail on his middle finger while tossing a bullpen session on Tuesday.  There were some red spots on his shirt.  He shrugged it off as ketchup but was seen favoring the finger a little during the session.
