5th round draft pick Shoya Yamamoto tossed thirty pitches in the bullpen on Friday.  It was his third session at the Naruohama facilities.  4th round draft pick Ryutaro Umeno caught the session.

Shintaro Fujinami threw thirty-four pitches, including breaking balls, to a squatting catcher on Thursday.  It was his fourth session of the year.  Fujinami feels tossing more bullpen sessions during spring camp  is better for him than tossing more pitches during bullpen sessions.  He does not think he will throw more than 100 pitches in any given session.

Daiki Enokida threw sixty pitches to a standing catcher in the bullpen on Thursday.  He was seen raising his right leg higher than last season.  He told reporters the high leg kick could allow him to adjust his timing better, even though he was not doing on purpose.  He also said the higher leg position was probably an indication of good balance.
