Oh threw two sliders and two slow curves while playing catch on Saturday.  He did not throw the curve very much while playing ball in Korea, but could start to use it in Japan.

Development coordinator Masayuki Kakefu started working with Hayato Ito during fall camp last year.  Ito contacted Kakefu on Friday evening and asked if he could take a look at this swing.  Kakefu was in Toyama at the time for an event and decided to leave two hours earlier than he originally planned on Saturday, just to squeeze in some time to watch Ito takes cuts in the batting cages at Naruohama.

Kakefu later told reporters what happened and said being able to see the improvements in Ito's swing was worth the change in schedule.

The organization is doing what it can to make sure there are no Norovirus outbreaks at their facilities.  That includes adjusting their food menu -- the only raw food they are serving is vegetables, everything else gets thoroughly cooked.  They are also calling on everyone to do their part by properly washing their hands and gargling.
