Kosuke Fukudome swung the bat about 500 times on Saturday.  In addition to lunch-time and regular batting practice, he stayed back after general workouts for forty-five minutes of soft-toss batting practice and fifteen minutes in the batting cages (machine that tosses curves).

Yutaka Wada swung the bat 193 times while hitting grounders during fielding practice on Saturday.  If players failed to field the ball properly, he followed up with three to five more in a row.
