  • Kan Otake - forty pitches to squatting catcher
  • Tomoyuki Sugano, Shoki Kasahara, and Nobutaka Imamura tossed bullpen sessions.

  • Chris Seddon - twenty-nine pitches to squatting catcher; including breaking balls; Shinnosuke Abe caught the session
  • Yuki Koyama - sixty-eight pitches
  • Kan Otake - thirty-five pitches; including curve, shuto, slider; 1st round draft pick Seiji Kobayashi caught the session
  • All eighteen pitchers at Ichi-gun camp toss bullpen sessions; everyone other than Kentaro Nishimura threw to squatting catchers

The Giants were presented with a number of Miyazaki food items on Sunday.  Items included: twenty kilograms of Miyazaki brand pork, twenty kilograms of Miyazaki beef; twenty kilograms of chicken, twenty kilograms of kumquats, twenty kilograms of hyuganatsu (citrus fruit), and ten packs of strawberries.

Hideki Matsui threw ninety-five batting practice pitches to Yoshiyuki Kamei on Saturday.  He also worked one-on-one with Taishi Ota and Ryosuke Miyaguni.  Matsui's first day lasted about eleven hours.

Matsui tossed 110 batting practices to Hayato Sakamoto on Sunday (hit twelve over the fence).  He spent some time with Ota again as well.

Shogo Shibata complained of stomach pain on Sunday morning and was taken to a hospital.  He was admitted after he was diagnosed with appendicitis.  He underwent surgery in the afternoon.
