[2/13/2014] Yoshitaka Katori named Samurai Japan Technical Director

The First Samurai Japan Summit took place in Naha, Okinawa on the 10th.

  • A new position, Technical Director, was created.  The Technical Director will be responsible for pulling all the different levels of Samurai Japan together.  Duties will include: creating a vision for Japanese baseball and working to realize it; evaluating amateur talent and assisting with selections for pro/amateur mixed teams; providing Top Team Manager Hiroki Kokubo with assistance; and scouting talent on a global scale.  Yoshitaka Katori was named Technical Director.
  • The Japan Baseball Marketing Committee was renamed to the Japan Baseball Management Committee (JBMC).

The Samurai Japan schedule for 2014 was also released.
