Rakuten Eagles

  • Kazuya Fujita was scratched from Sunday's exhibition game against Softbank at the last minute because of pain in his lower abdomen.  He started feeling the pain during pre-game practices.  He was penciled in to get the start at second.  Source: Sports Hochi 3/2/2014

Softbank Hawks

  • Yusuke Masago joined the Ichi-gun team on Sunday for a one-day workout.  Source: Nikkan Sports 3/2/2014
  • Dae-Ho Lee complained of tightness that extended from his neck to back during fielding practice on Sunday.  He did not take batting practice and did not play in the exhibition game against Rakuten.  He is expected to play in the next exhibition game on March 4 against Hanshin.  Source: Sports Hochi 3/2/2014
  • Toru Hosokawa hurt his left shoulder during Saturday's exhibition game against Rakuten and did not participate in pre-game practices on Sunday.  He will not travel with the team when it heads to the Kanto region on the 6th and will instead continue his rehab.  Source: Sponichi 3/2/2014
