Hanshin Tigers

  • Minoru Iwata started a Kyoiku League game against Softbank on Wednesday.  He gave up six runs (five earned) on eight hits over three innings of work.  Source: Sanspo 3/5/2014

Hiroshima Carp

  • Yusuke Nomura, Keisuke Imai, and 1st round draft pick Daichi Osera pitched in a batting practice scrimmage on Wednesday.  They each faced eight hitters: Nomura surrendered a home run to Brad Eldred; Imai gave up two hits, struck out two, and walked one; and Osera allowed three hits and struck out two.  Source: Nikkan Sports 3/5/2014
