Hiroshima Carp

  • Kila Ka'aihue was taken off the active roster on Wednesday with a spinal concussion (he took an HBP off his back on Tuesday).  The injury does not appear to be serious, but will also take more than three or four days.  Rainel Rosario was called up to take Ka'aihue spot on the roster. Source: Sponichi 4/23/2014, Daily Sports 4/23/2014 ... The numbness Ka'aihue first had in his leg is now gone.  He still has pain in spine.  He also feels pain when he twists his back. Seibu Lions

  • Takeya Nakamura (back tightness) played in a Ni-gun rehab game against Yakult on Wednesday.  He got the start at first and batted clean-up.  He homered in his second straight game and went 1-for-2 with two walks.  He could be activated in time for the start of a Softbank series that begins on the 25th at YafuOku Dome. Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Dai-Kang Yoh may have hurt his right shoulder while trying to evade a tag at first base after hitting a grounder in the 5th inning of Tuesday's game against Softbank.  He was removed from the game on defense in the 6th.
