Yomiuri Giants

  • On Saturday, Leslie Anderson hit a home run and drove in four in his first game as the number four hitter.  He joined Davey Johnson (1975) and Seung-Yeop Lee (2006) as the only foreign players in franchise history to hit a home run in their first game batting out of the clean-up spot.  He also joined Yuko Minamimura (four in 1951) and Shinnosuke Abe (five in 2007) as the only players in franchise history to record four or more RBI in their first game as the clean-up hitter.
