Hiroshima Carp

  • The Carp tied an NPB record by notching their third walk-off home run of the month on Sunday.  It was the thirteenth time the feat was accomplished, first since Chunichi in June 2011 and first in franchise history.  It was also the first time in NPB history all three walk-off home runs were hit in extra innings.  Hiroshima will end April in first place for the first time since they went 9-5-2 in 2011 (tied with Yakult) and 15-9-1 in 2000 (sole possession).
