Chunichi Dragons

  • Takuya Asao (right elbow) could pitch in a Ni-gun rehab game some time later this month (perhaps during a six game stretch that begins on May 27).  That could put him at Ichi-gun in June.  He tossed indoor batting practice at Nagoya Stadium on Thursday.  He threw forty-five pitches, all fastballs. • Kazuki Yoshimi (right elbow) was scratched from his Ni-gun outing against Softbank on the 9th because of lower back pain.  He ended a throwing session on the 7th early with pain in his lower back and was examined at a hospital on the 8th.  While the injury does not appear to be serious, his Ichi-gun ETA could be pushed back from May to June.
