Yomiuri Giants

  • Leslie Anderson (right thigh) was at the Ni-gun facilities in Kawasaki on Sunday.  He wore a weighted vest (five kilograms) during workouts.  He focused on upper body exercises, including soft-toss batting practice while seated. Source: Nikkan Sports 5/18/2014

Hanshin Tigers

  • Hiroki Uemoto (right thumb) played in his second Ni-gun rehab game on Sunday.  He got the start at second and batted lead-off.  He went 0-for-2 with a walk and a sac hit. Source: Nikkan Sports 5/18/2014

  • Kenta Maeda suffered a bruised right thigh during Saturday's game against the Yomiuri Giants.  He told reporters on Sunday that while there was still some swelling, he thought he would be okay to make his next start as scheduled. Softbank Hawks

  • Brian Wolfe left Sunday's game against Orix early because of tightness in his right elbow -- he was pulled after throwing three pitches to Wily Mo Pena in the 2nd inning.  Wolfe felt some tightness from the start of the game.  What happens next will depend on how he is feeling on Monday.
