Rakuten Eagles

  • 1st round draft pick Yuki Matsui pitched in a Ni-gun game against Yokohama on Tuesday.  He entered the game in the 7th and tossed two shutout innings.  He threw thirty-four pitches, walked one, hit one, struck out five, and topped out at 144km/h.  7th: HBP, Ks, BB, Ks, Ks.  8th: Ks, G5, Ks.  His next appearance could be as a starter on the 31st against Ni-gun Seibu.
