  • Takahiro Suzuki set a new NPB record on Monday when he stole the 106th base of his career as a pinch-runner.  The previous record of 105 was set by Shiro Fujise in 1983. Source: Sponichi 5/27/2014

  • Sanspo - The Tigers may be considering trades to bolster their pitching staff.  Possible pitchers of interest: Nagisa Arakaki (Softbank), Satoshi Komatsu (Orix), and Shinya Nakayama (Orix).  They are expected to make a push for a possible trade some time after Inter-league play ends.  Their favorite could be Arakaki.   • Tatsuhiko Kinjo recorded his eighth career walk-off hit during Monday's game against the Orix Buffaloes and his first walk-off since May 1, 2013.  The eight walk-off hits also tied the franchise high held by Makoto Matsubara, Robert Rose, Motonobu Tanishige, and Takanori Suzuki.
