  • Takahiro Norimoto was the seventh pitcher in NPB history to record two shutouts during Inter-league play, first since Kazuhisa Ishii in 2012.  He and Yu Darvish (three in a row in 2011) are the only two pitchers that accomplished the feat in consecutive starts.  Norimoto, Kazumi Saito (2006), and Hisashi Iwakuma (2008) are the only pitchers to notch shutouts against the Giants during Inter-league play.  Norimoto is one of nine pitchers since 1950, first during Inter-league play, to toss a shutout in their first career start against the Giants.
