Does anyone know what happened to Yuniesky Betancourt of the Orix Buffaloes? He doesn’t play at Ichi-Gun or Ni-Gun.

      1. Dylan

Yes, you have a point. Maybe he will come around. No hurry, now that they signed Joey Butler.

Not really sure what happened to Betancourt. Haven’t really seen anything in the press. With the addition of Butler, I really don’t see any place for him at Ichi-gun at this point, unless Pena or German gets hurt.

Also, in tonight’s game Moriwaki pinch hit Hara for Wiy Mo Pena with two outs and one on in the 9th. How is that possible. Pena leads the league in home runs and RBI’s. I can’t understand that move. Just to have a left handed bat face a right handed pitcher? Geez.

Pena is batting .219 and has twenty-seven strikeouts in 105 at bats against right-handed pitchers.

Moriwaki may have been playing righty/lefty percentages, but he may have also wanted to go with someone that had a better chance of putting the ball in play, since there were already two outs.
