Rakuten Eagles

  • Takahiro Norimoto joined Yu Darvish (2011) as the only pitchers in NPB history to record three Inter-league shutouts in one season. Source: Sanspo 6/10/2014 ... Norimoto and Masahiro Tanaka (six in 2011) are the only pitchers in franchise history to record four or more shutouts in one season.  Norimoto is the first in franchise history to record four shutouts before the All-Star break. Source: Nikkan Sports 6/10/2014 ... Norimoto has a 0.26 Inter-league ERA this year.  Darvish set the NPB record in 2011 with an Inter-league ERA of 0.21. Source: Sports Hochi 6/10/2014 ... Norimoto and Tanaka are the only two pitchers in franchise history to toss shutouts with ten or more strikes and no walks or HBPs.  Tanaka accomplished his feat on October 16, 2011.  Norimoto accomplished his on May 22, 2014 and June 9, 2014.
