Hiroshima Carp

  • Kenta Maeda would rather not miss a start, but the Carp could end up playing it safe by taking him off the active roster to give him at least ten days of rest.  Maeda felt some tightness in his left side during pre-game practices on Monday and was examined at a hospital on Tuesday.  Nothing serious was found.  He has had problems with his right side in the past, but never his left.  The Carp want to avoid things getting worse and will exercise caution.
