  • The Eagles would like to present Senichi Hoshino with 1,001 folded paper cranes.  They will set up a booth at Thursday's game where fans will be able to participate.  Note: 1,000, or sen, folded paper cranes can bring good fortune.  1,001, or sen-ichi, is a play on fortune and Hoshino's first name. Source: Sponichi 6/11/2014

Softbank Hawks

  • Yuya Iida is slated to get Sunday's (6/15) start against Yokohama. Source: Sports Hochi 6/11/2014
  • Through Tuesday, Tadashi Settsu has victories against ten different NPB teams.  The only teams he does not have victories against is Chunichi and Softbank.  Settsu threw eighty pitches in the bullpen on Tuesday.  He is scheduled to make his next start on Thursday against Chunichi at YafuOku Dome.
