[6/22/2014] Injury Report: Takeya Nakamura (Seibu), Shinnosuke Abe (Yomiuri)

Yomiuri Giants

  • Ikusei 3rd round draft pick Ryusei Kitanosono fouled a ball off his right foot during a game against the Futures on Saturday.  He was examined at a hospital and diagnosed with a fracture in his right big toe on Sunday. Source: Nikkan Sports 6/22/2014
  • Shinnosuke Abe was the starting designated hitter on Saturday because he was still not 100 percent (neck problems). Source: Sanspo 6/22/2014

Chunichi Dragons

  • Doala sprained his right ankle while attempting to land a back-flip during Saturday's game against Lotte.  He was unable to perform on Sunday.  Lotte's Cool tried to fill in for him. Source: Sanspo 6/22/2014

Seibu Lions

  • Takeya Nakamura was left out of the starting line-up again on Sunday because of pain in his right elbow.  Nakamura did not participate in pre-game batting practice, but did take some grounders during fielding practice. Source: Sanspo 6/22/2014

  • Dae-Ho Lee was hampered with lower back pains when he went hitless in three straight games between the 12th and 15th.  He was feeling better on the 19th after a rain out on the 17th gave him three consecutive days of rest. Source: Sponichi 6/22/2014
