Yomiuri Giants

Hanshin Tigers

  • Shintaro Fujinami will reportedly make his next start on July 1 against Yakult instead of June 29 against Chunichi. Source: Sanspo 6/25/2014
  • Tsuyoshi Nishioka and Kosuke Fukudome could join the Ichi-gun team for workouts on Thursday.  Both played in a Ni-gun game against Orix on Tuesday -- Nishioka got the start at third and batted lead-off, he went 2-for-5; Fukudome got the start in right and batted third, he went 1-for-5 with two RBI. Nishioka and Fukudome played in another Ni-gun game against Orix on Wednesday.  Nishioka played through four full and recorded a single to center in his at bat in the 1st inning.  Fukudome went 0-for-3.  Both players are currently slated to join Ichi-gun practices on Thursday. Chunichi Dragons

  • Masahiro Yamamoto has not pitched in a game since May 10 (vs Ni-gun Softbank, gave up nine runs, six earned, on eleven hits and two walks over three innings of work).  He is scheduled to pitch in a batting practice scrimmage at Ni-gun this week.  If everything goes smoothly, he could pitch a couple innings in relief during a Ni-gun three-game series against Hanshin that begins on July 1. Yokohama Bay Stars

  • The Bay Stars starting rotation for their upcoming three-game series against Hiroshima (June 27-29 at Yokohama) and two-game series against Chunichi (July 1-2 at rural stadiums): Shoichi InoGuillermo Moscoso, and Yuki Kuniyoshi against Hiroshima and Shun Yamaguchi and Yasutomo Kubo against Chunichi.
