  • Yoshinori Tateyama could begin pitching in Ni-gun games when the Tigers begin a series against Chunichi on July 1.  If everything goes smoothly, he could get called up during a nine-game stretch that begins on July 8. Tateyama tossed a bullpen session at Naruohama on Friday.  He threw twenty-one pitches to a standing catcher and forty-four to a squatting catcher.  He is scheduled to toss another session on the 29th.
