Yomiuri Giants

  • Kentaro Nishimura (right thigh) pitched in a batting practice scrimmage on Sunday.  He faced three hitters a total ten times.  He threw thirty pitches, allowed two could be hits, and walked one.  He topped out at 145km/h.  It was his second scrimmage since his injury. Hanshin Tigers

Hiroshima Carp

  • Yuichi Hisamoto left Sunday's game with pain in his left elbow.  Kenjiro Nomura indicated to reporters that he was planning to take Hisamoto off the active roster.  He will be examined at a hospital. Source: Sports Hochi 6/29/2014, Nikkan Sports 6/29/2014

Chunichi Dragons

  • Ryosuke Hirata was examined at a hospital in Nagoya and diagnosed with an inversion sprain in his left ankle.  The Dragons have not released any information about how long much time Hirata might need for a full recovery. Source: Nikkan Sports 6/29/2014

Chiba Lotte Marines

  • Katsuya Kakunaka missed Saturday's game against Orix because of pain in his right shoulder.  He hurt the shoulder when he ran into the wall while playing defense on Friday.  He was examined at a hospital in Chiba and diagnosed with a bruise.
