  • Through Saturday - Hisayoshi Chono recorded the fourth walk-off hit of his career on Saturday against the Chunichi Dragons.  His four walk-offs: October 22, 2011 against Yokohama, pinch-hit grand slam in the bottom of the 9th; May 15, 2013 against Lotte, two-run double to right-center in the bottom of the 9th; August 29, 2013 against Hanshin, solo home run to left in the bottom of the 10th; July 5, 2014 against Chunichi, RBI single to center in the bottom of the 10th.  In extra innings, Chono is 14-for-41 with two home runs and six RBI. Hanshin Tigers

  • Takashi Toritani singled in the 1st inning of Sunday's game against the Yokohama Bay Stars and moved into a seventh-place tie on the franchise's all-time hit list with 1,527 hits.  He added another single in the 3rd to move into sole possession of seventh.  Masayuki Kakefu is in the 6th place with 1,656 hits.
