All-Star Roster

Chicago Cubs

Texas Rangers

Yu Darvish and the All-Star Game, from the Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant:

... When the Rangers tweaked their pitching rotation due to bad weather and pushed Darvish back to Friday's start against the New York Mets, it also meant Darvish would make his final first-half start on Wednesday rather than next Sunday, the final day before the break. It means Darvish will have perfect rest to be able to pitch. Washington expects him to pitch.

"You can't go to the game and just be a spectator," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "You want to win the game. He can help you win. The way things changed for us with our schedule, if they want Yu, I hope Yu wants to pitch"

Washington said if Darvish is selected, he'd inform Boston manager John Farrell, who will manage the AL All-Stars that Darvish would be available for one inning and 20 pitches. That has become the customary availability for all pitchers.
