Softbank Hawks

  • Seiichi Uchikawa recorded his 1,500th career hit in the 1st inning of Friday's game against the Nippon Ham Fighters and became the 116th player in NPB history to reach the milestone.  Toru Hosokawa notched his 250th career sac hit in the 8th inning of the same game and became the fifteenth player in NPB history to reach the milestone.   • Wily Mo Pena became the first player in the Pacific League to hit twenty home runs this season during Thursday's game against the Softbank Hawks.  He also became the seventh player in franchise history to reach twenty before anyone else in the league, first since Dae-Ho Lee in 2012.  He joined Daryl Spencer (1965), Wayne Cage (1982), and Lee as the only foreign players in franchise history to achieve the feat.
