  • Yoshinori Tateyama pitched in his first a Ni-gun game on Tuesday against Softbank.  He entered the game in the 6th with Hanshin down 3-1.  He managed to toss a shutout inning in relief, despite loading the bases with no out: 1B7, 1B7, BB, Ks, F9 (runner on third doubled-up to end the inning). • Hiroki Uemoto recorded the first lead-off home run of his career on Monday.  He became the forty-sixth Tiger to hit a lead-off home run, first since Tsuyoshi Nishioka on May 18, 2013.  He joined Makoto Imaoka (July 26, 2003) as the only players in franchise history to hit lead-off home runs against Chunichi at Nagoya Dome.  The lead-off home run was the franchise's 162nd.  Koji Akiyama holds the franchise record with thirty-eight lead-off home runs. • The Tigers struck out fourteen times on Monday against the Chunichi Dragons at Nagoya Dome.  It was the second time this season they struck out fourteen or more times in a game (first time was June 4 against Rakuten at kobo Stadium).  They struck out fourteen or more times twice last year: fifteen on September 13 against Yakult at Jingu and sixteen on September 21 against Yakult at Koshien (twelve inning game).  The franchise high, set multiple times, is sixteen.  The NPB high of nineteen was set by Chunichi in 2005 and 2006 and Lotte in 1995.
